Just thinking about Wild West City and going there 40+ years ago. It awesome to see it’s still there.

The kids absolutely loved this place. It is set up like a town in the old west with horses, gun fights, train and stagecoach robberies, shops and other actual artifacts. There are lots of shows in the middle of the main street, but depending where you are it can be difficult to hear and understand the pa system. The best part is the children participation shows. The kids loved strapping on the cap guns and shooting the bandits. I remember going there when I was a little kid.

I'm a grown man and was just looking for something to do for a day. I didn't expect much, thought it might be corny. But it really wasn't bad. They had quite a bit of cool things to see. I won't say the acting is the greatest thing I've ever seen, but that's from an adult perspective. If you go with kids, you should have a good time. Gives kids a chance to see that there was life before cell phones.

Went yesterday. Cute place a bit pricey. The reason I'm giving 1 star is the Animals. They all look so tired and they have loud fake guns that must hurt their ears sure did hurt mine. But what I really wanted to write was behind the barn there were more horses. Not realizing we weren't allowed back there yet there was an open trail we realized why they didn't want us back there. The horses were standing in their own feces. All over! Not a clean spot to stand on. I felt so bad for them. It clearly was not cleaned in a long time this was neglect.

If you want to experience life in the US during the 1800's, this is the place to go. Yes, the roads are dirt and dusty...but that was life in the cowboy times. Kids can learn how life was before technology like, smart phones and pc tables, sadly rob us of our ability to socially interact in a more personal way with each other. Where children can appreciate what their great, great grandparents had to go thru just to mail a letter or to travel. I love this place..its like opening a history book and watch it come Alive!!
