Black Forest Inn was clean and spacious. The layout was choppy, but welcoming. Workers were polite as they navigated through the crowd waiting to be seated. Created a reservation on Open Table, but the hostess was unable to provide an accurate wait time for our party of 5 people. The temperature at times would grow too hot. The bar was relaxing. The resturaunt was family friendly. Stephenie and Melissa were fabulous! Both and the chefs were extremely accommodating and thorough regarding our food allergies. The menu offered many delicious traditional German food options. The ham and bratwurst were amazing! Yes, we recommend this location and food.
This is my favorite German restaurant. The food is very good and the atmosphere reminds me of an old German hunting lodge. I just had the Christmas goose special which was very nicely prepared. The service was good and the prices are reasonable.
We ordered food for our office Oktoberfest party. They did an excellent job for arranging food for 50 of us. They came on time and set up everything. Did the necessary help when I asked. Also Barbara is a very nice person to talk to. Overall I have A+ experience with them. I highly recommend these people
I love both the food and the owners, who always treat me like family. This is one of the only remaining German Restaurants in the while NYC Area, but definitely the best. In the Winter, be sure to reserve ahead to get a table in the cozy Fireplace Room.
Excellent service. Food served hot, on warmed plates with a very nice presentation. Steak prepared exactly as ordered. Very warm, inviting atmosphere.
