Great place for a hike no matter what level you're looking for! awesome views and scenery. More difficult trails are not too busy but there are some crowded spots too when the weather is nice.
Went to a wedding at Waterloo Village in the park. Rustic style setting was lovely so forget the Brooklyn glitz.
If you're in the area, it's a nice place to go for a walk. Old village that allows you to enter buildings and see live demonstrations. $5 parking fee, but not sure if it was because we were out of state.
Had to do that to bring the overall stars to real world, this place would be lucky to be a 3. This is for the 517 side of things. I go there and hike there but trails are unremarkable in any season. Which is harder to do than you would think, and this place does it. I think my expectations maybe too high because everything is gorgeous on the way there in a car then, nothing no joy in mudville my friends. Of course I am talking about the upper area by 517. I don't count the Village in this review of it if you have to see this place don't make it on the 517 side which is where 90% of the park is. Go see Waterloo side. Now I'm rambling.
Came here with my son's Boy Scout Troop. They had a blast rock climbing. The guys from Riverview Outdoor Adventure Climbing School did an awesome job of teaching the boys the fundamentals of climbing. Wouldn't mind doing this again.
